   Rock Hill Poet Laureate

What is a Poet Laureate?

Welcome! A poet laureate seeks to raise the national consciousness to a greater appreciation of the reading and writing of poetry during their term. Often, a poet laureate is expected to compose poems for city or state occasions, educational initiatives, and other government events.

As Rock Hill's Poet Laureate, I am dedicated to fostering a love for poetry within our community. Through outreach programs, civic engagement, and special commemorations, I aim to celebrate our city's rich culture while promoting literacy and appreciation for the written word. Join me in exploring the beauty of poetry and its power to unite us all!
